Hi Kathy!!!! I am so glad I stumbled upon the facebook group and then your blog. I am sitting here with tears streaming down my face...the people, the memories, the ones who are no longer with us, the amazing church family that I got to grow up with and that helped grow me up in my faith. Praise God for U-Street. Thanks for doing this.
It is so nice to hear from you. I'm glad that you enjoyed looking at the old pictures; it was very healing for me to do this project. We did have a great church family, didn't we? I sure miss everybody.
Hi! Bill and Edwina Harriman have set up a link on Facebook so that it is easier for more people to find us. This way you can add friends easily and talk to them directly. You will need to sign up on Facebook.com, but that is easy to do. I'll also keep this site going. ~ Kathy
The following USCC people have been in contact through Facebook, even if they have not signed up for the USCC Facebook group. If you see somebody on this list that you would like to talk to, sign up for Facebook and then invite them to be your friend.
Tim and Tammy Aho Steve Boulton Gwen Boulton Nigel Dumas Joanne Flanders Bill Harriman Dave Harriman Edwina Harriman Janelle Harriman Bill Howard Debbie Isom Scott Isom Dan Lincoln Kathy Matthews Deliene Miller Linda Royston Kari Ward Jennifer Root Wigler
As of Feb. 18, 2009 there have been 29 others invited but who have not responded to the Facebook option.
Message from Jo Anne Flanders:
"Any and all are invited to the MONTHLY luncheons of the (former) USCC members. We meet (with some exceptions) every FIRST THURSDAY AT NOON (two changes: which Th. and time) AT THE SIZZLER RESTAURANT on Gateway (St./Blvd./?) in Springfield. Judith Knight is the coordinator, not me (I declined, becuz I coordinate other events)."

A Note from Your Church Secretary:
Though our church is gone (and I basically dropped out of sight when I moved to La Pine), my USCC church family has never left my heart. You all very, very special to me. I've created this portion of my website to post pictures of when we were all together, and to share memories of University Street. Please participate by sending pictures, and sharing your stories. (You don't have to do anything special to post a comment; just click on "comment" on the bottom of each post, then click on anonymous; write your comment and sign your name.)
There is also a place for posting prayer requests. (You'll need to email those to me and I'll post them on the side bar so that they don't move.) My email for this site is: oregongiftsofcomfortandjoy@hotmail.com
If you click on the yellow box below with the roses, it will lead you to praise and worship songs and scripture verses.
If you click on the angel you will return to the homepage of my main blog.
Joanne Flanders has me on her email list, so I will use that as a start for contacting people. If you like this idea and would like to participate, please tell other USCC friends about it.
